I made this quilt for the Modern Quilt Guild's "Find your own voice" Challenge #4. This contest had virtually no guildleines beyond the minimum size of the quilt. This quilt started with a very general idea. I had no clear picture of the final outcome. My husband thinks it looks like ink jet printer cartridges. I have spent a lot of time with my photo printer, and I do agree this quilt is a fine abstract representation of ink jet cartridges. That was not my original intention, but then again, I had no original intention. I started with the solids and the idea that I would add a lot of texture with the quilting.
